Childhood:
Joshua Hamilton, also known online as "Lil Darkie", was born in October 6, 1998.
Joshua got his online alias from the kids at his school. Joshua was bullied for having a darker skin tone and for being indian.
He was called a darky, and instead of letting that break him he took the name and embraced it, calling his rap name "Lil Darkie".
Joshuas character is supposed to resemble how people of darker skin tone are portrayed in the media by making his persona resemble
the way african americans were shown in 20th century cartoons. His persona and his character online is also big in showing what
kind of music he makes and how he makes it.
Music Life
On April 4th, 2018 Joshua posted his first song onto soundcloud, "No Hands". This track did pretty good, it got about 56k views.
His first track to gain attention was the one on the first page that I still can't mention. It was released in 2019 and has gained
about 2M views on both Spotify and Soundcloud. However, his song gained controversy for obvious reasons, so he made a spinoff track
named "Genocide".
This track was made to poke fun of the media, and society in general by basically calling everyone pansies. Joshuas
music is made to mock people, specifically americans. The thing is, you can't put Darkie in a genre, he can do almost anything.
That's why I think he could be one of the greatest artists in the world.
